Kevin Rhea is the Founder and Executive Director of the National Association for Accreditation Leadership (NAAL), a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the professional development of accreditation leaders across public safety disciplines.
With more than three decades of experience in law enforcement, accreditation, and organizational excellence, Kevin has become a nationally recognized leader in accreditation management, leadership development, and organizational performance.
A retired law enforcement sergeant, Kevin served in numerous operational and leadership roles before specializing in training, professional standards, and accreditation. He has successfully led agencies through multiple national and state accreditation processes, served as an accreditation assessor, developed statewide accreditation programs, and consulted with agencies across the United States.
Kevin holds a Master of Public Administration and is currently a doctoral candidate in Criminal Justice Leadership at Liberty University, where his research examines how law enforcement leaders interpret and respond to organizational reform pressures.
He is a frequent speaker, author, and educator on leadership, accreditation, organizational culture, risk management, and professional development.Kevin is passionate about developing accreditation professionals into trusted organizational leaders who help build stronger agencies and safer communities.
Kevin lives in Arizona with his wife, Robin, and their English Bulldog, Rocky. When he isn't teaching, researching, writing, or speaking, he enjoys cheering on his beloved Detroit Lions, serving in his local church, and volunteering as the Clubhouse Captain for the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers during Spring Training.
