Rusty Byers is Director of Justice & Public Safety at Strategic Communications, where he leads the JPS TRUST Program, helping public safety agencies navigate technology decisions with a strategic, mission-focused approach.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran and Gulf War veteran, Rusty has spent more than 30 years serving the justice and public safety profession. His experience spans law enforcement, corrections, dispatch, fire and EMS, courts, cybersecurity, computer-aided dispatch, records management, mobile technology, and Rapid DNA solutions.
Throughout his career, Rusty has been passionate about connecting agencies with innovative technologies that solve real operational challenges. Today, he works alongside public safety leaders to develop long-term technology strategies that improve collaboration, strengthen operations, and better support those who serve their communities.
