Brent Sorg

Brent dedicated 25 years serving the citizens of Lansing, Michigan. He retired at the rank of lieutenant. During his career, he served in a variety of positions including patrol lieutenant, administrative lieutenant, detective/sergeant, training coordinator, school resource officer, and patrol officer. Brent was an accident reconstructionist, member of the LPD drone team, served as a defensive tactics instructor for 20 years, and a Field Training Officer for 15 years.

Brent earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University. He attended the Mid-Michigan Police Academy and graduated as the top recruit in his class.

Brent resides in East Lansing and enjoys golfing and bicycling. He also has a passion for soccer and currently coaches a semi-professional team, collegiately, and a youth team.
