Damian Rehorn

Sergeant Damian Rehorn has served the citizens of Fairhope, Alabama for 14 years as a patrolman, supervisor on patrol, and most recently as the department’s training coordinator. He has been a field training officer for 12 years and the FTO program manager for 6 years. Prior to working for the citizens of Fairhope, Damian spent 8 years as a military policeman in the United States Army. He is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom (05-06).

Throughout his tenure with the Fairhope Police Department, Damian has been the primary instructor for his department in a variety of subjects, including SFST, Taser, Active Shooter, Use of Force, and Defensive Tactics. In addition to instructing at Fairhope Police Department, Damian regularly teaches DUI Detection and SFST at the Alabama Basic Police Academy, as well as instructs officers from all over the state in the Drug Evaluation and Classification Program (DRE School).

Damian is passionate about learning and sharing his knowledge with others. In addition to his agency instructor roles, he also volunteers his time to teach active shooter response to local churches and civic groups as well as speak to local banks and businesses on ways to secure their workspace.

Damian holds a B.S. in Organizational Leadership from Columbia Southern University and a M.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of North Alabama. He is a graduate of the National Command and Staff College Leadership Program.

Damian is an avid baseball and college football fan. He is married with two teenage children. Damian enjoys reading, particularly books on faith, leadership, and non-fiction biographies.
